Introduction

Hello, it's Inna Langerman here and welcome to my mini-course on how to create a multi track video music project. In these modules, I will show you a step-by-step guide to how I create a video similar to the one I'm showing in the example on the screen. By the end of going through all the modules you're going to have step-by-step tools you need so you'll be able to create a project similar to this, where you can play a duo w/ yourself, a quartet, or even a dectet. In these videos I'm going to show you two of the many approaches that are possible.

The first approach will involve the use of a metronome and it's possible to do this with only one device if you have the right tools. But ideally you'll have two devices for these projects. I'm personally using my Android Google Pixel 2 phone and my laptop. However, this is doable with any smartphone: (iPhone, Android, etc). I specifically created this class so that it can be done w/ different types of devices.

The second approach I'll show you involves recording the multiple tracks without a click-track (or with minimal use of one) by playing along with your own recording.

In addition, in these videos I'll give you a quick guide or a walk-through on how to navigate several platforms including the free Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software Audacity which is available on both PC and Mac. Also, I'm going to show you the app called PowerDirector by CyberLink, which is very user friendly and is available on both iPhone and Android devices. It's very easy to use this app to put videos together and sync them up. As a bonus, I'll also show you a little bit of a couple other platforms you might be interested in using. One is called Kinemaster, which is another app very similar to PowerDirector. Another is called Wondershare Filmora, and I'm using the 9th version. Of course, there are other softwares out there but I just picked these ones because they're available for all different devices (iPad, iPhone, Android, PC, or Mac). Depending on what you have, you can adapt these videos in order to suit whatever you have available at your disposal.
